What?
The ShoeMate is an automatic shoe deodorizer. The device is optimized for the removal of offensive foot odor. Combining this with the convenience of a hands-free device, the ShoeMate is automated to execute its entire freshening cycle without any user supervision. As shown in the picture above, the ShoeMate is also customizable to fit the style and decorum of the user.
Why?
It is far too common an occurrence that a person will neglect to freshen his/her used (Ahem, 'well-used') shoes. More often than not, the spray can sits on a shelf in the hall closet or the locker room, because people just do not feel that it is worth their time to freshen their shoes. Why should they? The shoes are only going to get smelly again later. With the ShoeMate that doesn't have to be the case anymore. Now, you can take action against shoe odor without having to take time.
How?
Since the main sources of shoe odor are the bacteria that thrive in the warm, damp environment of a person's shoe, the ShoeMate is specifically designed to attack the bacteria as thoroughly as possible. Antimicrobial sprays do this well enough, but to make the ShoeMate even better at its job, it is designed to dry out the shoe first, in order to make the environment less hospitable to bacteria. Then, a combination of disinfectant and scent is sprayed into the shoe to eliminate any existing odor-causing bacteria. To use the ShoeMate, shoes are loaded onto the probes and the lid is closed, which automatically engages a switch. The device begins to blow hot air into the shoe for a specified amount of time to dry it out and then injects the disinfectant into the airstream which gets dispersed throughout the shoe. Once the cycle is done, the ShoeMate automatically turns off and the user can open the lid and easily remove the shoes.
When?
Use the ShoeMate whenever you want to! One of the best things about the ShoeMate is that it does not need any supervision, at all. You turn it on, and walk away. That really is all there is to it!
Where?
Put it in the front hall or a bedroom closet. Keep one under your desk at the office for that spare pair of shoes. The ShoeMate is also a great idea for gym owners and school administrators to add to their locker rooms. Even though the ShoeMate was designed with locker rooms and closets in mind, anyplace with a standard power outlet and reasonable ventilation is ShoeMate compatible.
How Much?
All costs considered, the ShoeMate is expected to sell at a unit price of about $30.
