The Game Saver
Saving your games so you don't have to!
How did the Game Saver come about?
Imagine you are playing an intense game of chess with a friend, and then you notice you need to be in class in five minutes. You want to finish the game, but you have an exam. What do you do? Leave the game out? Start over? Why not use the new board you bought that actually saves your game. Thats right kids, no more incomplete games or starting over. No more accusations of people messing with your pieces.
The Game Saver saves the game you are currently playing and allows you to recall that game at a later time. What joy! What bliss! Never again will you look like the little chap in the picture below.
Angry kid who cannot finish his game. What is the Game Saver and how does it work?
The Game Saver is a chess board that saves the current game. It does this by "hiding" each piece into its own little apartment. To this, the board needed a moving platform. The playing platform recesses into the body cavity when the lid is closed. The internal grid system keeps the pieces from moving about. When you are ready to play again, simply open the lid and gaze with amazement as the pieces rise to do battle once again. The lid contains two racks of teeth. These teeth interact with a gear matrix. Some of these gears are attached to arms. These arms are attached to the board, thus allowing the lid to operate the board. The above left picture shows the chessboard with the playing platform in the recessed position, whereas the picture, above right, shows the playing platform in "game mode."
